Widening Participation (WP) - raising the aspirations and attainment of people from backgrounds that are under-represented in higher education - is a major component of government education policy in the UK and Europe.
This collaborative cluster (led by the University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with the Universities of Glasgow and Aberdeen) aimed to explore how the use of lecture recording can support WP students by enabling greater flexibility for learners.
The cluster adopted a broad definition of WP that encompassed equality, diversity and inclusion.
On this page you will find the resources published by the cluster, including the engaging booklet 'Top Tips for Widening Participation with Lecture Recording'. You can also browse resources from the three open workshops held by the cluster.
