MEET PROFESSOR SALLY KIFT
We are delighted to confirm that Professor Sally Kift (President, Australian Learning and Teaching Fellows) will deliver the opening keynote on day two of our online international enhancement conference, 'Learning from disruption: exploring what counts in higher education'.
Recipient of the 2017 Australian University Career Achievement Award for her contribution to Australian higher education, Sally has held several university leadership positions and is currently President of the Australian Learning and Teaching Fellows (ALTF). Find out more about Sally.
ABOUT SALLY’S KEYNOTE PRESENTATION
Entitled 'Keeping Calm in the Face of Disruptive Innovation', Sally’s keynote will consider the promise of a connected educational ecosystem, drawing on her chapter ‘Employability and Higher Education’ from the edited collection Education for Employability (Higgs, Crisp and Letts [eds.], 2019).
Sally will suggest that our full, collective resources – educators, government, business, industry, accreditors, communities, students and graduates – should act in calm concert to shape a sustainable HE future in which: participation and attainment continue widening; our skills effort is boosted; enhanced credit recognition is facilitated, including for micro-credentials; and learner pathways are better enabled, especially for young people to complete an initial tertiary qualification and to enable workers displaced by COVID-19 disruption to get back on their feet.
Full details of Sally’s keynote paper, which will be followed by a live Q&A session, are available in the conference programme.
