Keynote - Approaches to inclusive curriculum design
Day two of the conference explored equality, diversity and inclusion in our learning communities, beginning with two exciting keynote presentations focused on inclusive curriculum design. These were delivered by Dr Maha Bali (American University Cairo) and Nona McDuff OBE (Solent University).
Sharing their thoughts on sustaining intentionally equitable learning communities and narrowing the awarding gap through delivering an inclusive curriculum framework, Maha and Nona were joined by Professor Valerie Webster (Glasgow Caledonian University) for a live Q&A session.
Panel discussion - Digital Accessibility - How inclusive is the online learning environment?
Delegates then spent the afternoon in conversation with Kellie Mote (Jisc), Dr Mhairi Thurston (Abertay University) and Gemma Lumsdaine (Abertay University), discussing digital accessibility and inclusivity in our online learning environments.
