Supporting and developing the curriculum by putting contemplation back into HE

A recent seminar funded by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) was hosted by the Centre for Academic Practice and provided an innovative response to the new Enhancement Theme. Its premise was that twenty-first century university curricula have become top-heavy with content, but lack opportunities for contemplation. It therefore focused on the role that a range of contemplative practices (CPs) might play in enhancing students' learning, by integrating such practices into curricula.
