Engagement with employers, as part of the design and delivery of the curriculum, is central to enhancing students' employability and supporting their transition to the workplace. At the University of Aberdeen employers are often involved in curriculum delivery at many levels, including the opportunity to deliver guest lectures, or to offer work-based projects and placements. To build upon and complement this activity an employer-focused curriculum design event was held in November 2015. The twilight 'Work-Related Learning' event brought together employability professionals and academic staff from the University with over 30 local organisations from diverse employment sectors.
