Plans are well underway for our 3rd International Conference which will take place from 6-8 June in Radisson Blu, Glasgow. The Conference will focus on transforming the student experience through six distinct but inter-related tracks. This event will appeal to a range of delegates from across the UK and internationally, including: students and representatives; senior leaders; policy makers; learning and teaching practitioners; academics; and colleagues from across the professional services who provide support to students. The Conference will also provide a useful opportunity to celebrate the outcomes of the work that the Scottish higher education sector has been actively progressing in relation to Student Transitions. This is the sector’s current Enhancement Theme which is a key component of our integrated Quality Enhancement Framework.
We are delighted to announce we’ve had a fantastic response to our call for proposals and have received submissions from colleagues across the globe, who see the Conference as an ideal opportunity to share their practice. The Conference is offering a full programme of activities and a number of social events to enable colleagues to continue discussions, informally.
We are excited to announce that we have secured an inspiring range of keynote speakers to address the Conference and engage participants in discussions on a range of topics currently being debated in the sector. We will be running a series of articles on each speaker explaining the wealth of knowledge they will bring to the Conference.
Early bird tickets for the Conference will be available at a discounted rate from 6 February 2017 and there are a limited number of funded places available to staff and students from Scottish HEIs. So watch this space!
