The QAA Subscriber Community is a virtual meeting space in which members can easily access quality assurance and enhancement resources, including those exclusively available to subscribers, and share experience, questions and expertise.

Good practice case studies


These peer-reviewed case studies provide useful examples of current good practice and new ways of working. Designed to share ideas and encourage innovative approaches to quality assurance and enhancement, they are available exclusively for subscribers through the Subscriber Community.

International Insights


Our International Insights series are designed to support an institutions' international activities. They are a good place to start if you are working internationally or want to know more about a particular country before you consider a new partnership.


In addition, a series of webinars have been developed to enable direct engagement and facilitate questions with our partner agencies in these key countries, including China, Hong Kong and Dubai/UAE.

The Quality Enhancement Network


The Quality Enhancement Network (QEN) is designed exclusively for QAA subscribers to support them in enhancing and sustaining effective management of quality and standards in higher education.  


It brings together quality assurance professionals, practitioners and others with an interest in higher education to discuss and debate current issues relevant to quality assurance. 


The QEN events are hosted in a variety of locations across the UK each year. They are exclusively for our subscribers.  Suggestions for events, speakers and case studies are always welcome.

Our seven Regional Networks are currently being introduced across the UK. They provide an opportunity to meet quality practitioners locally to share ideas and update knowledge.

Focus On


Produced by QAA Scotland, the Focus On programme provides a range of resources on particular themes. Subjects include the postgraduate research student experience, institution-led review, and training and support for postgraduate students who teach.



Enhancement Themes


In Scotland, universities and colleges focus together on a particular Enhancement Theme. Each Theme runs for three years and the resulting collection of papers, case studies and resources provides a valuable source of information and inspiration.



Annual Subscriber Conference


Our Annual Conference brings together experts in quality assurance from across the UK and overseas to discuss the very latest topics of interest, providing an excellent opportunity to network, share, listen and discuss. Each subscribing institution receives two free delegate passes, plus one free student place.
